Angelica, NY –– Dec. 15, 2011…..

On Friday, December 23rd Black-Eyed Susan Acoustic Café (22 W. Main St., Angelica, NY) welcomes Tony G. (Gallicchio) of Hornell, NY who plays funk, jazz and blues on piano, guitar and vocals. Tony’s show runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There is no cover charge, but guests are expected to contribute to the musician’s tip jar.

Note: We will present live acoustic music only once this week. The cafe will be closed at noon on Christmas eve, Saturday, December 24th.

If you attend Tony Gallicchio’s performance, don’t plan on sitting still. Joe Sweet of “Fusion Weekly” wrote that Gallichio has… “Just enough funk to make your pastor groove, but with so much soul he won’t feel guilty about it.”
Mr. Gallicchio is a sought-after solo artist and a member of the trio FunkNut. He’ll present a soulful evening of blues, jazz, and funk on piano and guitar, adding some powerful vocals to complete the sound. He has performed extensively in New York and along the East Coast, and at venues closer to home including Nietzsche’s in Buffalo, Lovin Cup in Rochester, and Funk ‘n Waffles in Syracuse. The band recently taped a segment for WXXI-TV’s series SOUND STAGE which will air early in 2012. Learn more at www.tinyace.com

Chris is a sculptor that lives in Hornell NY. His mixed media work represents a multitude of influences which translates into stunning forms. Although he describes his work as complex the beautiful fluid lines flow from one sculpture to the next.
